Indian Minister for External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj said that India has not carried any 'big brother' attitude towards Nepal. Instead it wants to help Nepal as an elder brother in solving its every problem.
Addressing the programme of the Indian Council of World Affairs organised here on the sidelines of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's ongoing state visit to India, Swaraj welcomed Nepal's new constitution and expressed her gratitude towards the recent amendment carried out based on the genuine demands of the people.
She further expressed her hope that the political mechanism formed by the Government of Nepal to deal with the disputes on the new constitution will address the voices of Madhes-centric parties and resolve problems relating to the delineation of federal units through talks and dialogue.

Recalling Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's last year's Nepal visit, she said Modi's appeal for drafting the inclusive constitution with good faith and establishing peace in the Nepal was finally materialised. She also thanked Nepal for demonstrating maturity in course of drafting the constitution.
