2. Foods with high cholesterol and saturated fats like meat, egg yolk, milk, curd etc should be consumed as less as possible. Monounsaturated fats like avocado, peanuts etc and polyunsaturated fats like sunflower, maize etc should be used when oil is required.
3. Fish and chicken have low fat so they can be used sparingly.
4. It is better to not eat met of goat, beef, pork, lamb etc because they have high amount of saturated fats.
5. Less use of oil while cooking. Skin and fat should be thrown while cooking and also the residual fat during cooking should be thrown.
6. Replacing protein of meat with protein of soybean, peas, lentils etc.
7. Spinach, green veggies, fruits, wheat, rough rice and lentils are very beneficial. They should be consumed in high amount.
8. Food with omega-3 fatty acids like fish oil, walnut, lemon etc should be consumed more. Omega-3 fatty acid reduces the negative effects of cholesterol.
9. Food with astringent taste helps to decrease cholesterol.
