Kathmandu, Feb 9: Reports have been received from various districts expressing condolences over the demise of Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala.
Biratnagar, the parental place of Koirala, is mourning over the demise of Koirala after he died all of a sudden on Monday night.
Koirala was born as the first child to father Bodh Prasad and mother Kumudini Devi on August 12, 1939 in Biratnagar.
The Koirala family started living in Nepalgunj after Bodh Prasad started working as forest officer in Nepalgunj. Leader Koirala was known to be very close to the late popular leader BP Koirala.
Similarly, Jumla district is mourning over the death of Koirala.
Nepali Congress Jumla district expressed sorrow over the death of NC president Koirala, saying there was an irreparable loss to party, cadres and well wishers due to this.
Likewise, Chitwan folks are also mourning at the demise of NC President Koirala.
Koirala became Prime Minister after winning the election from Chitwan Constituency No 4.
NC Chitwan District President Tek Prasad Gurung said the death of Koirala has not only stunned the party and its cadres, but also the nation.
Banke district also in mourn by the demise of Koirala. Cadres and well wishers have thronged the house of Koirala's brother at Nepalgunj and NC party office there to extend tribute.
NC Banke District has extended condolence to the bereaved family, wishing eternal peace of the departed soul. RSS
